7 Days trip to Dubai & Maldives
February 22, 2022
This amazing family trip that I have organized my self together with premiumincoming group, was out of this world. We started our Journey in Madrid at 2pm (3 hours difference between Dubai and Madrid); taking the flight of Emirates from Madrid Barajas airport to Dubai´s main airport (approximate timing of the flight between 7-8 hours depending on the winds and if going or coming back). Covid requirements at that time: negative PCR test to enter the United Arab Emirates; traveling only with the Covid passport was not enough. We landed in Dubai at midnight and arrived to the hotel around 1.30; time when our bad luck started... When we arrived to the hotel, our reservation was cancelled (out of nowhere) and there was no place at the hotel, since it was overbooked. To make a long story short, we spent 2 hours going around several hotels to find a place to stay; since everything around Dubai was full due to some holidays of the nearest countries. We ended up going to bed at 4 am in a small hotel out of town for one night, with a wake up call settled at 8am.
DAY 1- EXPO Wake up call, 8am. Luggages ready to move hotel & struggling to wake up little brother and little sister. Finally everybody is awake and comes down in a bar next to the hotel to have some breakfast; the turkish coffee is horrible and we are all dead. The cab finally arrives, we stop to the hotel to leave the luggages and the hotel turns up to be the worng one. Once again we take the cab and leave to the correct one. Finally installed with the new hotel rooms, we start our journey to the expo with a 45 minutes drive. Local time at arrival to Expo, 1pm. This enormous show represent a global gathering of nations dedicated to creating solutions to the most pressing matters of the day, participating countries have been given the opportunity to set up shop at their very own pavillion to showcase how their nation is contributing to critical global debates as: Sustainability, Mobility and Opportunity. First pavillion we see is the chinese one, nothing special and after that one Austria's one (nothing special again)! You can check the reels of this two pavillions directly on my instagram reels page (direct access following). The third pavilion we visit is super nice and probably the best one we saw that day, the Saudi Arabia one; so typical, so original, so beautiful; it made us discover how beautiful & green Saudi Arabia looks and made mw wanna put it in my BUCKET LIST !!
